Two-Factor Authentication (Customer & Admin)

This is an appendix to the documentation of the plugin Two-Factor Authentication.

Activate / Deactivate 2FA as Employee

  1. An employee has the option to activate Two-Factor Authentication in their account (1) (2).

  2. A modal opens. In this modal, a QR code is displayed, which must be scanned in an authenticator app (links for Android and Apple are provided). Activation must be confirmed with a valid code from the authenticator app.

If Two-Factor Authentication is activated, the employee has the option to deactivate it again in the future at the same location.

Manage Employee 2FA Configuration as Administrator

Overview

Via the employee list Company (1) → Employees (2), the administrator of a company comes to an overview where the 2FA status (3) of the employees can be viewed.

✔️ - The employee has 2FA activated.

❌ - The employee does not have 2FA activated.

If the administrator opens the detail view 🔎, they also have the option to deactivate 2FA for the employee here.

If a company no longer has access to their accounts, the shop operator can also deactivate this function in the administration interface at the employee (1) under the custom fields (2) → (3). To do this, simply clear and save the 2FA Secret (4) field completely.
